一 |     (ECNS) -- Chinese game developer Game Science released a 15-minute gameplay video for Black Myth: Zhong Kui on Thursday, the second anniversary of the launch of its global hit Black Myth: Wukong, offering the first look at the new protagonist combat style and snippets of the storyline.    The second title in the Black Myth series draws on ancient Chinese mythology and folk legends surrounding Zhong Kui, a figure traditionally associated with subduing ghosts and demons. His depiction riding a tigerin the game was inspired by a Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) painting of Zhong Kui riding a tiger.    The project was announced last August and remains in an early stage of development. Game Science said it chose to explore a new hero, gameplay, visuals, technology and story rather than rush to produce another Wukong title.    The shift to Zhong Kui takes the series beyond the Monkey King, one of the best-known figures in Chinese mythology. Black Myth: Wukong, based on the Chinese classic Journey to the West, was released on Aug. 20, 2024, with nearly half of its sales coming from overseas markets    (By Intern Yang Hongran, Zhang Dongfang)                    。    “Many hands make light work.” Chinese Minister of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu briefed a press conference held by the State Council Information Office on Thursday on efforts to advance the building of a Beautiful China.    "The cumulative trading volume of China's national carbon emissions rights trading market had exceeded 930 million tonnes by the end of July," Huang told a press conference.    Looking ahead to the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will place greater emphasis on improving people's well-being through ecological and environmental protection and addressing environmental problems at the source, while accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of industrial, energy and transport structures, Huang said.    Speaking of public participation, Huang said, “Many hands make light work.” Building a Beautiful China is a cause that requires the participation and joint efforts of everyone, with its benefits shared by all.    The landmark Ecological and Environmental Code is set to take effect on Aug. 15, 2026, laying a solid legal cornerstone for pursuing Chinese modernization with human-nature harmony as a distinctive feature.
